Last week blog was about my proposal experience for my college English class but also last week was about everyone in my class presenting there proposal. Now we are at the point where we have made our decisions on who's proposals we would to work with. We each made our own individual choices from our first to fifth place choice. Now since that part has been finished; we have now have to think what is need in a documentary film since we are going to make a documentary film based on the proposal that we are assigned in. Therefore, our English teacher put a documentary film on so we can think on what is need in one.
When I was watching the film (only a portion of it) I thought about what was needed in a documentary film. These are what I thought is need; which are :
- Have an idea on what to make the film on. ( Have a topic and a purpose )
- Do further research on topic chosen
- Do interviews/ Get peoples perspectives on the topic
- Have visual scenes of the topic/ Have visual evidence
- Make audience understand and feel the film
- Make sure the message is sent
I look forward on knowing whether my proposal was chosen but if not, I still look forward on my classmates proposals and doing a documentary film with them. This would be a project I have not done yet and that's the reason why I look forward to it. Overall, those are the things in which I think is need in a documentary film.
Your list includes some very important elements for a documentary project, and I hope to see them in your groups film. The opening section however, summarizing the assignment, is not really necessary since I already know what you are supposed to be posting about. Good work, nonetheless.
